JERRY CRUNCHER: I got back to London early in the evening and was on me way home, when I saw the lights burning in the Stryver law offices. I knocked on the door and found Mr. Stryver, Mr. Lorry and Mr. Carton working late. All of them had been doing quite a bit of drinking. Seems Miss Lucy was on everyone’s mind these days and all three of them were in love with her. Who would of thought! When I heard this I knew it was time for me to leave, but I believe as the night and the drinking went on, they all realized none of them got a chance with a lovely lady like Miss Lucy Manette.
(SYDNEY CARTON, MR. STRYVER, MR. LORRY)
SLEEPY DAYS
SLEEPLESS NIGHTS
HOPLESS DREAMS
WE’RE LOST IN THE FIGHT
AN ENDLESS LOVE
AN ENDLESS PAIN
IT’S AN OPEN WOUND
WASHED BY THE RAIN
SO HERE WE LIE
UP IN A CLOUD
WE’RE HOLDING YOU CLOSE
WE’RE DREAMING OUT LOUD
BUT NO ONE IS SAFE HERE
NO NOTHING IS SOUND
AND HERE WE ARE AGAIN
BACK ON THE GROUND
(CHORUS)
SO HERE’S TO THE HEARTS THAT WE’VE LOST
HERE’S TO THE HEARTS WE NEVER FOUND
HERES TO THE HEARTS BROKEN IN TWO
HERE’S TO A LIFE WITHOUT YOU
(INSTRUMENTAL)
(CHORUS)
SO HERE’S TO THE HEARTS THAT WE’VE LOST
HERE’S TO THE HEARTS WE NEVER FOUND
HERES TO THE HEARTS BROKEN IN TWO
HERE’S TO A LIFE WITHOUT YOU
(CHORUS)
HERES TO LOVE LOST AND FOUND
HERE’S TO A LIFE FALLING DOWN
HERES TO THE HEARTACHE BROKEN IN TWO
HERE’S TO A LIFE WITHOUT YOU
WITHOUT YOU
WITHOUT YOU
WITHOUT YOU
