JERRY CRUNCHER: A couple days later I delivered a note to Mr. Lorry me boss and the note read: "RECALLED TO LIFE". Dr. Manette had been released from the Bastille and placed in the care of the Defarge's. Mr. Lorry returned to London to tell Miss Lucy Manette that her father, who she thought dead, was alive! Now Lucy about fainted from the shock and Miss Pross, Lucy’s faithful nanny, had to hold on to her to keep her from falling face down on the floor. So, Mr. Lorry brought Lucy and Miss Pross back to Paris to get her father back to London. Now when they arrived we all went upstairs to a tiny room above the wine shop. There sat Dr. Manette, his hair all long and white as he tap tap tapped on his shoemakers bench. . Miss Lucy asked him his name, but all he could say was, "One Hundred and Five, North Tower". He didn’t even recognize his own daughter and Lucy almost fainted again. But then, the Doctor looked back up at her and spoke her name. She burst into tears and hugged her father and we all left the room to give the two of them a moment alone.
