REVOLUTION

REVOLUTION
00:00 / 05:05

JERRY CRUNCHER: That Mr. Carton was a smart one. He tricked that Mr. Darnay into switching clothes with im. Then he drugged im with the ether and had John Barsad carry im out of the cell telling im that Mr. Carton had taken ill! I bet Barsad thought it was Mr. Carton he was taking out of there, seeing as the two of them look so much alike. Now Barsad put Charles who he thought was Mr. Carton into the carriage that was waiting for him. Miss Lucy, Dr. Manette, Mr. Lorry, and the drugged Charles Darnay, all drove off in a carriage out of France to safety.

Miss Pross and I went back to the Manette home to get their belongings knowing that Madame Defarge was on her way there to get her revenge. I knew she was going to be enraged when she found out everyone had left already.  It seemed she wouldn't be satisfied until everyone was dead including us! I thought Mr. Defarge might be the only one left to talk some sense into that crazy wife of his I did. Poor Mr. Defarge.

When Madame Defarge arrived, Miss Pross stood at the doorway defiant, and refused to let her inside the house. They started to struggle and both fell to the floor pulling hair and ripping skirts and then . . . I seen the GUN!

(MADAME DEFARGE)

THE CRISIS IS IGNORANCE
BUT NO ONE CAN HEAR IT
WE FIGHT FOR THE END OF THIS
A NATION IN ARMS

(MISS PROSS)

THE HORROR IS VIOLENCE
BUT NO ONE CAN FEEL IT
WE'RE KILLING EACH OTHER
FOR THE RIGHTS OF MAN

(TOGETHER)

REVOLUTION

(MISS PROSS)

DON'T TRY TO HOLD SO MUCH
HATE IN YOUR HANDS

(TOGETHER)

REVOLUTION

(MISS PROSS)

WHAT WE PUT OUT
WILL COME BACK AGAIN

(MADAME DEFARGE)

OLD MEN
WITH AN OLD POINT OF VIEW
THEY'RE YOUNG MEN TRYING
OH THEY'RE DYING TO GET THROUGH

(MISS PROSS)

WHEN WILL YOU SEE
YOUR CAUSE WAS LEFT BEHIND
THERE'S NO WAY TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE
IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR OWN PRIDE

(MADAME DEFARGE)

STEP ASIDE!

(TOGETHER)

REVOLUTION

(MISS PROSS)

DON'T TRY TO HOLD SO MUCH
HATE IN YOUR HANDS

(TOGETHER)

REVOLUTION

(MISS PROSS)

WHAT WE PUT OUT
WILL COME BACK AGAIN

(INSTRUMENTAL)

(MISS PROSS & MADAME DEFARGE)

REVOLUTION
REVOLUTION
REVOLUTION

JERRY CRUNCHER: She killed her! Miss Pross Shot Madame Defarge Dead! That Miss Prossy . . .what a woman! If I wasn't a married man.

Madame Defarge was consumed by her endless lust for revenge! It was that lust that caused her own final undoing! Mr. Defarge was now the leader of the revolution and we all hoped that maybe it would be him that saw a way to end it all. I put Miss Pross in a carriage and as she rode off back to London, I went back to the Bastille to see if I could find Mr. Carton.

(MISS PROSS CHORUS)

THINK FAST

MAKE IT LAST

WE'RE THE ONES THAT CHOOSE

THINK BACK

TO THE PAST

WE'RE THE ONES THAT LOSE

WE GOTTA THINK FAST

MAKE IT LAST

WE'RE THE ONES THAT LOSE

WE GOTTA THINK BACK

TO THE PAST

WE'RE THE ONES THAT CHOOSE

THINK FAST
